ECOMMERCE CONSULTANCY. SCREWFIX.DE, GERMANY.
Screwfix had recently opened a fledgling business in Germany; 4 stores and a website. The website wasn't performing to required standards and, as Germany's first introduction to Screwfix, was negatively impacting the brand. Using growth and conversion rate optimisation strategies, revenues generated from Screwfix.de increased by 250%.
Andy Gault, Director of Ecommerce, Screwfix
"Justine is passionate, committed and driven. In her time working for me in the fledgling Screwfix Germany operation she moved the online proposition on hugely and created a strong ecommerce team within the German office. Justine has an expansive knowledge of ecommerce ranging from integration of systems through to monetising the front end in an efficient and optimal way. She has a strong focus on the customer and making the journey as easy for them as possible. She combines her own experience with analytics and insight to highlight opportunities for improvement and then takes responsibility for seeing it through to implementation."

HEAD OF ECOMMERCE, HOBBYCRAFT UK
Hobbycraft had separate brand and transactional websites, neither performing to their potential. As part of a company-wide infrastructure upgrade (to Microsoft Dynamics), Hobbycraft.co.uk was launched as a single multi-channel website with the brands' quirky personality integrated throughout the site. The new site was successfully optimised for Google and online sales increased 400% in the first 6 months after launch. I ran the end-to-end project, design & development specifications & SEO planning and put a team and agencies in place to support the high growth that followed. The brand was also launched onto social media sites with a regular 'Make of the Month' competition - Facebook achieved 60k followers in the first few months with engagement on social channels 5x that of the retail industry average.
Econsultancy Blog, March 2015
"Hobbycraft is not a website we’ve covered on the blog before. It’s not the showiest website, it doesn’t feature the most technically dazzling array of tools and features, nor is it currently in the news for any particular reason.
So why cover it now? Because Hobbycraft gets the basics of ecommerce just right. Out of all the sites I’ve researched so far, this one manages to include almost every ecommerce best practice feature that we’re constantly banging on about on the blog."

HEAD OF DIGITAL MARKETING, FUTURE PUBLISHING
In the autumn of 2006, I set up the Digital Marketing team for Future Publishing (UK), recruiting a team of 5 professionals to run marketing campaigns for all Future's magazine websites. Using email marketing, SEO, content marketing, social media, viral campaigns and PPC, our team doubled traffic to the online portfolio in one year. SEO & Digital Marketing lead on four major web launches (BikeRadar.com, MusicRadar.com, T3.com) and responsible for the company's mobile strategy.
Richard Spilsbury, Acting Digital Director, Future Publishing.
"Incredible. Many people in corporates claim credit for others' initiatives but Justine truly initiated Future's digital marketing. Depth to start from scratch, amazing experience, inspiring enthusiasm, builds great teams from scratch. Still miss her input and enthusiasm."

MANAGING DIRECTOR, BECHEEKY.COM
After managing the marketing strategy for BeCheeky.com, the investment board asked me to step up and run the business. Sales were off target with dangerous levels of costs, cashflow and stock and they needed to turn the business around. After a restructure, aggressive cost & debt management, sales increased by 60% and losses reduced by 52% with conversion rate increasing by 150%. The business was then sold to an indirect competitor, LoveHoney.
Mark Blandford, Investor, BeCheeky.com
"Justine joined Be Cheeky as Head of Marketing. She quickly demonstrated a good working knowledge of the mechanics of marketing and marketing management. Under her management the key KPI's at Be Cheeky continually improved. Following a change in senior management Justine was an automatic choice as CEO. Again the key KPI's continued to grow.
Justine is knowledgeable, hard working with foresight and vision. Not afraid to make the tough decisions yet a good people manager. I have no hesitation in recommending justine for either senior marketing roles or general management in digital B2C companies."
Photography Prints & Gallery, Ecommerce, Digital Marketing, Content Strategy.
A side-gig I work on between projects and built using Shopify, 100Prints is an online photography gallery selling work by female artists from around the world. Women are under-represented in the photography industry and I am proud to be able to promote some amazing female talent. I manage all aspects of business including the curation of images, marketing, content and ecommerce.
